⭐️ The Account Executive (Retail) job

We’re expanding our Retail segment Sales Team in France and are looking for a “full‑stack” Account Executive to engage with prospects and turn them into happy Alan customers. This team focuses on the Retail segment , interacting with everyone from HR executives to CEOs.

We specialize in companies that sell and distribute food and goods with direct access to customers (BtC). We have a strong focus on food distribution networks and fashion sellers that represent 75% of our market.

What will you do with us?

You’ll own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing. In our Retail Sales team, the average sales cycle is 6 months, dealing with companies ranging from 20 to 600 employees, with an average ARR of 150K€ . At Alan, Account Executives drive deals and close strategic opportunities with prospects. We sometimes handle some customer relationships to ensure the best possible onboarding. You’ll educate prospects, provide inspiring product demos, and onboard key stakeholders, making the transition from prospect to customer seamless. We expect you to understand and apply the Alan Smart & Soft selling method . This method ensures the prospect experience is an integral part of the overall Alan customer experience—making it pleasant and delightful for everyone. We expect you to be instructive to prospects (Smart), as well as to define the best personalized high‑touch strategy that suits best each prospect (Soft). You’ll also help us grow and improve as a company, challenging us to enhance our product(s), methods, and strategy, and getting involved in initiatives to expand our customer base.

⭐ Is it you we’re looking for?

You’ll be a great fit for the Retail Team at Alan if you:

  • Have at least 4 years of experience managing the whole Sales cycle, from prospecting to closing. Prospection is a key part of the role!
  • Are interested in interacting with prospects from the Retail segment (they’re more traditional sectors)
  • Have full working proficiency in French (C2 and above) and an advanced level in English .
  • Are highly organized with exceptional follow‑up skills .
  • Have empathy and are passionate about understanding and solving prospects' problems.
  • Can influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus‑building.
  • Have a deep understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models.
  • Have a great attitude and ability to collaborate in a small team.
  • Are eager to learn fast and make an impact from day 1.
  • Are based in (or willing to relocate to) Lyon, Paris, Bordeaux, Nantes or Strasbourg .
