Software Engineer – Senior

Location: Paris (Hybrid – 2 days remote, 3 days on-site)

Sanofi Accelerator's R&D combines science and software, working closely with product teams and scientists to accelerate drug development. The role focuses on designing and implementing technology solutions that accelerate research workflows and improve data analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust software solutions that accelerate research workflows and improve data analysis capabilities.
• Lead technical decision‑making for key projects, ensuring scalable and maintainable architectures.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building a strong engineering culture.
• Set technical standards and drive adoption of best practices across the team.
• Support and collaborate with other teams to optimize workflows and eliminate bottlenecks.
• Advocate for best engineering practices.
• Surprise the team with innovative ideas and solutions.

Technical Requirements

• Experience with one or more major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js.
• Proficiency in React or a similar framework.
• Experience building and maintaining micro‑service architectures, designing APIs, and applying cloud security best practices.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps principles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering (or equivalent knowledge); years of experience is not a strict requirement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is a plus.
• Experience in an innovative, fast‑paced environment.
• Strong soft and behavioral skills: service‑oriented, flexible, team player, problem solving, critical thinking, excellent communication in English, growth mindset, and a passion for experimentation and continuous improvement.

• Fixed salary (€64,000 – €85,333) plus short‑term incentive and collective variable compensation based on Sanofi Group results.
