About the job

As part of Digital M&S Accelerator you will develop high‑value digital products to accelerate launches, create lighthouse factories and reduce manufacturing costs.

Responsibilities

  • Work with business teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical needs.
  • Engage with external data partners to evaluate and build relationships to acquire real‑world data assets.
  • Collect and mine data from disparate sources, digging into underlying processes.
  • Define how data science can accelerate digital products, improving patient journey insights and interventions.
  • Identify opportunities for data‑centric AI approaches to enrich M&S models.
  • Use data analysis, visualization and storytelling to scope, define and deliver AI‑based data products that optimise manufacturing and supply chain.
  • Build models, algorithms, simulations and performance evaluations using state‑of‑the‑art machine learning technologies.
  • Work closely with data engineers and full‑stack engineers.
  • Build, manage and lead a team of data analysts and data scientists.
  • Mentor and train team members on data organisation and interpretation.
  • Evaluate data assets regularly and identify potential impact on downstream analyses.

About you

You are a dynamic data scientist who challenges the status quo, develops AI/ML solutions with robust lifecycle management, and demonstrates improvement opportunities across technologies in a cross‑functional environment.

Experience

  • 8 to 10 years of experience.
  • Experience deploying models in product‑focused development within agile environments.
  • Experience in production‑ready software development.
  • Excellent business analysis, data visualization and data storytelling skills.
  • Excellent management and articulation of a team of data scientists and analysts.
  • Continuous support to team members in their professional development.
  • Healthcare or manufacturing experience is a strong plus.

Soft skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience driving alignment and results across multiple teams.

  • Self‑motivated and takes initiative.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking.

Technical skills

  • Expertise in business analysis, data visualization and storytelling.
  • Core data science languages such as Python, R, C++ and familiarity with SQL, NoSQL, graph and timeseries databases.
  • Expertise with sensitive data in critical environments such as healthcare and defence.
  • Supervised, unsupervised, deep learning, LLMs, reinforcement learning, federated learning, time‑series forecasting, Bayesian statistics, optimisation.
  • Comfortable working in cloud and high‑performance computing environments such as AWS, Azure, Apache Spark.
  • Hands‑on AI/ML modelling on complex datasets with CI/CD and orchestration.
  • Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, Streamlit or similar.
  • Experience with enterprise‑level APIs.
  • Experience with database mining, big data and large‑scale virtual screening (Bayesian optimisation or Gaussian processes) is desired.
  • Strong knowledge of data and AI regulations.

Education

Master's degree in mathematics, computer science, engineering, physics, statistics, economics, computational sciences or a related quantitative discipline, OR PhD + 3 years of relevant work and domain experience.

Languages

  • English, French.
