Job Title: Agile Coach - Performance & Flow Coach

Permanent: Fulltime –Lyon (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote).

About the Role

At Sanofi, you’ll help a manufacturing accelerator become a learning system that improves faster than its constraints. You’ll embed Lean and Kata habits into how teams, product owners, and leaders actually work. Your work will be set in a GxP‑regulated, compliance‑heavy environment where governance is real; the goal is to help the system flow better within it.

Responsibilities

• Make the delivery system visible: flow boards, WIP policies, aging WIP reviews.
• Reduce batch size and increase delivery frequency – small, releasable increments over large releases.
• Bring Lean thinking to work: value‑stream mapping, constraint identification, waste removal – as habit, not training events.
• Run Kata coaching cycles with teams and leaders: current condition → target condition → experiment → learn. Repeat until instinct.
• Observe real work in the Gemba. Build interventions from what you see, not from stand‑up reports.
• Coach leadership on a go‑see, ask‑why, show‑respect posture.
• Navigate GxP compliance: design within the change‑control context, not around it.
• Coach product owners from backlog manager to problem owner: outcome framing, evidence‑based bets, assumption testing.
• Build coaching capability in others so you become progressively less necessary.

Qualifications

• 7+ years coaching delivery teams in the work, not above it.
• Demonstrated flow‑metrics practice: cycle time, throughput, WIP as daily steering tools.
• Continuous delivery coaching: batch‑size reduction, faster feedback loops, quality built‑in.
• Lean and Kata as lived practice: VSM, A3, PDCA in real engagements.
• Experience coaching product owners from output delivery to outcome framing.
• Discovery practices – coaching toward evidence‑based decisions is required.
• Regulated or compliance‑heavy industry experience preferred (a steeper ramp without it).
• Guide teams on tool selection and integration without being tool‑driven.
• Framework agnostic: use what works and can explain why.
• Sports‑coach mindset: skin in the game, deliberate practice, willing to get operational if the team needs it.
• Deep flow literacy transferable to others – not just personal use.
• Evidence‑based practitioner: current condition anchored in data, training is not change.
• Use product thinking as a coaching lens: hold outcome questions alongside flow questions.
• Credible communication across all levels – engineers, data scientists, POs, plant directors, senior leadership.
• Curiosity, continuous learning, active community engagement, wide reading, open experimentation.
• Fluent English required; French is an advantage for Gemba conversations.

Salary: €64,000.00 – €85,333.00 per annum (fixed salary over 12months + short‑term incentive + variable compensation tied to group results).
