Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Academic Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to academic excellence, student success and continuous school improvement. As Academic Coordinator, you will play a key role in leading curriculum implementation, supporting teaching and learning, driving high academic standards and fostering a collaborative culture among staff. Working closely with school leadership, you will help ensure an outstanding educational experience for all students.

• Lead the planning, development and implementation of the academic curriculum in alignment with the school's educational vision.
• Monitor student progress, academic performance and teaching quality to ensure high standards of learning and achievement.
• Provide guidance, mentoring and professional support to teaching staff.
• Coordinate academic meetings, curriculum reviews and professional development initiatives.
• Analyse assessment and achievement data to inform improvement strategies and targeted interventions.
• Promote effective teaching practices, innovation and continuous improvement across the academic programme.
• Collaborate with pastoral, inclusion, safeguarding and student support teams to ensure holistic student development.
• Support positive student engagement, wellbeing and a safe learning environment.
• Build strong and effective relationships with families, supporting meaningful home-school partnerships.
• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are consistently applied and that concerns are appropriately reported.
• Contribute actively to whole-school initiatives, strategic projects and the ongoing development of the school.

Candidate Profile

• University degree in Education or a relevant subject area.
• Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership or a related field is highly desirable.
• Significant teaching experience with a proven track record of delivering strong student outcomes.
• Previous leadership, coordination or middle-management experience within a school environment is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of curriculum development, assessment, student progress monitoring and school improvement processes.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
• Ability to analyse academic data and implement effective improvement strategies.
• Outstanding organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and the wellbeing of all students.
