3D Metrology Inspector (f/m)

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a 3D Metrology Inspector to join our Quality Industrial & Services department based in Toulouse, France.

Location & Environment: The position is in Toulouse, a dynamic city known as the European capital for aeronautics and space research, with a vibrant cultural life and close proximity to the Mediterranean, Atlantic and the Pyrenees mountains.

Responsibilities

• Plan, perform and analyze complex 3D measurement campaigns on structural components and assembly jigs to assure compliance with quality specifications.
• Process point‑cloud data in PolyWorks to deliver comprehensive inspection programs and detailed compliance reports.
• Act as metrology focal point, providing expert technical support to manufacturing and industrialization engineering teams.
• Coordinate the shopfloor inspection network to harmonize measuring methods and ensure optimal equipment usage.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to control methodology, calibration protocols and quality traceability.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in industrial metrology or shopfloor 3D inspection workflows.
• Extensive hands‑on proficiency with PolyWorks.
• Deep operational background with dimensional control hardware such as Laser Tracker, Photogrammetry and CMM equipment.
• Solid understanding of geometric dimensioning, calibration requirements and quality standards.
• Technical proficiency in English to navigate aerospace engineering documentation and tools.
