Job Description
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an experienced Static Stress Engineer (f/m) to join our Aircraft Fuselage Structures Engineering Analysis team based in Toulouse, France.
You will join the Nose & Center Fuselage (NCF) engineering teams and be part of an integrated team having a global view on aircraft structure design and certifications. Within our team, you will have the opportunity to work on certification activities, airworthiness, maintenance, methods & tools improvements and in‑service support.
More specifically, you will be part of a team developing A320 aircraft family front and central structural modifications. As part of the Structure Fuselage Engineering Team you will contribute to improving our A320 family aircraft and support their production simplification to better answer our customer needs.

Your challenges
- Analysis, justification and certification of all structures SA continuous improvement projects; technically in charge of defining the static strength of our structure and proposing design updates.
- Ensuring the safe operation of Airbus aircraft with respect to structural integrity.
- Validating Stress Dossier (using your DOS delegation) or supporting signature, including Airbus Operations, Airbus Atlantic, RSP…
- Supporting the Technical Leader on quality & performance for the Static SA deliverables.
- Providing technical guidance for structure stress to produce optimised engineering solutions.
- Contributing to knowledge, best practices and lessons learned, and deploying them.
- Contributing to activities performance in terms of cost, time & quality.
- Interfaceing and communicating with relevant stakeholders.
- Providing support to internal customers.
- Developing the team’s collaborative way of working and ensuring mutual assistance between members.
- Preparing future improvements and fostering innovation within the team.
Your boarding pass
- Team player.
- Educated to an Engineering Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
- Static stress experience (>5 years).
- Good knowledge of Airbus calculation methods & tools (ISAMI would be a plus).
- Ability to organise, structure daily work in the team and MFT projects and manage multiple tasks in parallel.
- Autonomous approach with a good ability to react and adapt.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Leadership skills, pro‑activity and energy to anticipate and support changes.
- Ability to work in an international and interdisciplinary environment.
- French: advanced level.
- English: advanced level.
