Secured Finance Portfolio Manager Assistant

Overview

As a Portfolio Manager Assistant, you will report to the Head of Portfolio Manager Assistant within the AXAIM Alts AC Secured Finance Department. Based in Paris, you will support managers in the Secured Finance team, which manages over €25 billion in securitized assets across Europe and the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist managers with asset valuation and portfolio management.
• Apply and verify the currency hedging policy to cover currency risks.
• Conduct daily cash management and margin calls according to prevailing processes.
• Manage processes for funds and assets with commitments: capital calls, distributions, etc.
• Monitor multi-expertise funds.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly client and internal reports, validate before sending to clients; perform performance attribution (total return, IRR, etc.); respond to internal and external client requests.
• Automate and document processes.
• Produce data for marketing the activity.
• Ensure proper completion of operations; second-level follow-up with MO/BO.
• Transmit documents to counterparties, ensuring internal validation (KYC/AML, authorized signatory lists, incorporation documents, etc.).
• Maintain Front Office positions; act as main interface with Operations on this matter.
• Respond to ad‑hoc requests from managers, investors, and internal teams.

Qualifications and Skills

• Holder of a specialized education in financial markets.
• Initial experience as an Assistant Manager/Trader.
• Knowledge of the asset management environment and derivatives management.
• Familiarity with securitized asset classes is a significant advantage.
• Proficiency in Excel and programming languages (VBA, R, Python).
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, adapting to ongoing changes in IT and processes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit.
• Proactive information sharing and communication.
