Your Role as a Payroll Specialist
As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services for a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple French collective bargaining agreements.
You will manage the payroll process end‑to‑end, acting as a trusted point of contact for clients while ensuring a high level of precision, responsiveness, and compliance with French labour and social legislation.
- Collecting and integrating variable payroll elements received from clients
- Preparing payroll slips and carrying out detailed payroll checks to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual social declarations (DSN)
- Preparing employer certificates, final settlements, onboarding/offboarding documents, and other employee lifecycle documentation
- Managing day‑to‑day client relationships, including payroll queries, follow‑up, and issue resolution
- Creating and configuring payroll files for new clients
- Monitoring payroll activities and reporting updates to management
- Maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of French labour law, social obligations, and collective bargaining agreements
- Supporting and collaborating with other payroll team members when needed to ensure service continuity and operational excellence
Measurements of Success
- Timely responses to client payroll requests and emails
- Payroll production completed within target deadlines (maximum 2 business days)
- Accuracy and compliance of payroll processing
- Quality of client relationship management and service delivery
About You
- 3–5 years of experience in payroll management
- Strong end‑to‑end payroll expertise (collection, calculation, controls, declarations)
- Experience managing payroll across multiple collective agreements is highly valued
- Strong knowledge of French labour law and social obligations
- Experience using payroll software such as SILAE, Sage, ADP, PayFit, Workday Payroll, or similar. SILAE is highly preferable
- Experience managing DSN and social declarations
- Ability to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality
- French fluency required (written and spoken)
- English fluency required (written and spoken)
- Your application can be in French or English.
Location
Position based in Paris, with the possibility of working remotely two days a week.
