Manager - Healthcare Industry Insights & Analytics (fka Adivo Associates)

Our Insights & Analytics team, formerly known as Adivo Associates, is a fast-growing, international consulting group within Herspiegel. We partner with global leaders in biopharmaceuticals, clinical diagnostics, and medical technology, as well as financial services firms investing in healthcare markets.
As a Manager, you will be required to address the following:
- Working to provide data/insights and solve complex business problems—and managing a project team towards this goal—in the pharma/biotech consulting space
- Project management in market research and/or consulting services—fulfilling on time, under budget, at international consulting quality standards
- Demonstrate expertise in core consulting skills, including mentoring and training junior team members:
- Primary research and developing relationships with opinion leaders, healthcare professionals and industry players
- Efficient and thorough secondary research collection and analysis of financial reports, treatment guidelines, academic publications, publicly available databases, etc.
- Generating thoughtful, robust insights and storylines from thorough data analysis of both quantitative datasets (e.g., claims data, academic publications, registry data, etc.) and qualitative data (e.g., survey data, primary.)
- PowerPoint based report creation, storyboarding and impactful writing
- Develop and/or oversee the development of the market and financial models as well as product adoption and usage models at the expert level
- Display exceptional skills in writing, slide creation and presenting to client teams
- Preparing compelling client presentations, working with project teams on both sides to liaise with client and internal team(s)
- P&L and resource allocation responsibility at the project level
- Collaborating/Supporting in business development initiatives. This will require working closely with the Principals and Partners to generate new business opportunities for Adivo, design and write proposals as well as present Adivo consulting services to clients globally
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have 3 - 5 years of experience in consulting services in a similar role, with specific experience in project management.Successful candidates need to possess exceptional attention to details, and to be able to quickly and concisely summarize—both in writing and verbally—complex project-, personnel- and market-related data. Experience in managing both “up” and “down” is critical.
Other requirements include:
- An advanced degree in a medical, scientific, and/or business discipline (PhD, MD, Pharm.D, MBA) is a plus
- Data analytics expertise with large datasets (e.g., insurance claims data, EMR data, Rx data, other), is a plus
- Experience in managing Consultants and Senior Consultants (direct & indirect)
- Experience in rare disease and international markets is a plus
- Excellent quantitative analytics skills and effective as well as impactful writing and slide creation
- Flexibility to work within a growing, interdisciplinary team, including working remotely across different time zones
- The ability to be self-motivated, to work conscientiously, and to apply your intellectual curiosity effectively
