Senior Data Science Analyst & Project Lead

Full‑time. Workday Global Grade: 16.

As a Senior Data Science Project Lead & Analyst in the Business Excellence & ACE transformation function, you will leverage expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning to drive actionable insights and support decision‑making across various departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform exploratory and advanced data analysis to identify trends impacting business outcomes.
• Analyze predictive model outputs to optimize business performance and validate model inputs using machine learning techniques.
• Generate and synthesize insights to support business needs and provide actionable recommendations.
• Supervise and support junior team members in data analyses.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into analytical solutions and present findings to non‑technical audiences.
• Work with IT teams to integrate data solutions into existing workflows.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security policies, and data‑management processes.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to monitor key metrics and KPIs.
• Stay updated on latest advancements in data science and machine learning; evaluate new tools and technologies.
• Participate in design and execution of pilot projects and proof‑of‑concepts.
• Contribute to management of data‑science projects deployed by Europe or globally, coordinating local actors.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a data analyst or in a similar role.
• Experience in commercial performance data analysis within the pharmaceutical sector.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking skills; ability to derive meaningful insights from complex data sets.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
• Experience with data mining and statistical applications in a business context.
• Skilled in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Point, WorkShop, Contour).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Autonomous, curious, open‑minded, reactive, and willing to learn.

Education

• Ph.D. in a related field is a plus.
• Relevant master’s or bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or related discipline.

Location & Working Arrangements

• Based in AbbVie France headquarters, 5/13 Boulevard de la République, 92100 Boulogne‑Billancourt.
• Remote work possible up to 2 days per week, subject to collective agreement.
