Position Overview
We are looking for an R&T Propulsion System architect to join our Engineering Directorate in the Propulsion & Air Systems team (19 collaborators).
Mission
The role consists of defining the architecture of ATR's next‑generation propulsion system, monitoring its development up to a flight demonstration within an R&T project, and studying how to implement it on a production aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Imagine the different possible architecture of the new propulsion system (thermal engine, propeller, control, hybridization solutions, …).
- Assess the architecture alternatives relying on a multidisciplinary team.
- Define the functional architecture dossier and functional interfaces for the new propulsion system.
- Define technical requirements.
- Coordinate technical activities with engine and propeller manufacturers.
- Support the safety and V&V plan.
- Check compliance of developed hardware and software with requirements.
- Contribute to the preparation of safety of flight, ground and flight tests.
Qualifications
- Engineering background specializing in aeronautics, aircraft systems, or propulsion.
- About 10 years of experience in propulsion system design, development, or integration.
- Team spirit, open‑mindedness, pro‑active approach.
- Rigor and ability to deliver clear and synthetic analyses.
- Fluent in English and French (Italian a plus).
- Ready to take off with us to connect communities and businesses and provide the best possible products and support to customers.
